Summer Camp Good fun, in good hands. For kids, Y camp is a fun way to enjoy the summer. For moms and dads, it's a way to give their children a positive developmental experience. And for parents who work outside the home, Y camp also serves as child care. Most day camps have programs for preschool ages and older. When kids experience Y Day Camp, they experience something new every day. The Cannon Street YMCA Summer Camp is open to youth ages 3-12. The Cannon Street YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club are partnering this year to allow more youth in the downtown community to attend an all-day camp!! This year’s activities will include music, dance, golf, sailing, yoga, gardening, cooking classes, arts & crafts, leadership training and academic enrichment.

Teens will be expected to help out with younger groups, but will also have specialized field trips and age appropriate activities. When teens experience Young Achievers Camp, they experience something new every day while learning leadership skills. The Cannon Street YMCA Young Achievers Summer Camp is open to youth ages 13-15. Our program for School-aged kids is an excellent way to make sure they stay motivated after school. Your kids can exert all kinds of energy as they join in themes, educational projects and try different sports. Full-and part-time YMCA Child Care is divided into specific, age appropriate programs to provide your children with high-quality, fun experiences. Solid core values such as caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are incorporated into every activity and reinforces the emotional foundation which you’ve already established. Homework assistance, crafts & recreational activities Transportation is provided from all downtown Charleston schools Youth 3 – 12 years of age Program located at the Cannon Street YMCA, 61 Cannon St., Charleston, SC 29403 August 19th, 2008 – June 5th, 2009; 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (full-day care is available for an additional charge on teacher workdays and holidays). ABC Vouchers are accepted.
