Y-Guides

This YMCA parent/child program has a rich history going back 50 years. This unique program is designed to strengthen the relationship between father and son. The emphasis is on spending regularly scheduled quality time together. It is time when the parent and child can give their full attention to each other…time when they can learn to appreciate and enjoy each other…time when they can learn to relate in ways that will last a lifetime. 

Who:          Boys ages 5-12 years old

When:        September 2010 - June 2011 (1 nation event every month)

Where:      Nation events include campouts and more!!     

Cost:          $75 Program Fee, $25 Reg. fee per son for the first two sons. 

                   $0 for any additional son.

                   Add'l charge for individual events.

                   $35 Program Fee after January 1, 2011

September 26th, 1:00pm-5:00pm- Beach picnic @ Citadel Beach House, IOP-CHEETAH

October 16th, 1:00pm-5:00pm- (tribe build before event) - Pumpkins & Rockets – HOWLING WOLVES

Nov 5 – 7th ·- Campout ·Thunderbird / Huntington / Santee – TIGER SHARKS

December 12th (December 11th is the build) – Mt. Pleasant Christmas Parade – CHICKASAW

December 16th – Secret Santa Christmas Party at Cannon Street YMCA

January 29th, 1:00pm-5:00pm-(tribe build before event) – Pinewood Derby-HOWLING WOLVES

February 13th, 1:00pm-5:00pm– Laser Tag / Blackbeard’s- Belle Hall Tribe

March 12th, 1:00pm-5:00pm – Community Service ·Rein & Shine / Habitat – TIGER SHARKS

April 29th – May 1st – Edisto Canoe Campout – Belle Hall Tribe

May 21st, 1:00pm-5:00pm (tribe build before event) – Bulls Island Hike / Scavenger Hunt – TIGER SHARKS

June 4th – Whirling Waters Waterpark – CHEETAH
